Starting and ending your campaign's day

Daily Open and Close times in ThruText are based on a 24-hour clock for a single day in the time zone set for that campaign.

  • Start Time - Controls when your texters can first send outgoing messages in a campaign.
  • End Time - Controls when your texters can no longer send outgoing messages in a campaign.
  • Daily Open Time - Controls when your texters can send outgoing messages throughout a campaign.
  • Daily Close Time - Controls when your  texters cannot send outgoing messages throughout a campaign.

Always set your close time to be after your open time in the same 24-hour period. If you attempt to add a close time that is before the open time, the system will deliver an error that the close time cannot be before the open time. In the screenshot below, the close time is set to 12 am, which comes before 9 am on a 24-hour clock:

In this example, the admin wants the campaign to run from 9 am until the end of the day. Since 12 am is 00:00 on the 24-hour clock, it is the start of the day.

If you want your campaign to run till the end of the day, set your close time to 11:59 pm. That will ensure the system opens the campaign at 9 am and closes it at 11:59 pm:

In this example, the admin closed the campaign at 11:59 pm. Their campaign will run from 9 am to 11:59 pm, or 09:00 to 23:59 on the 24-hour clock.

After the campaign's close time, but before opening, texters will see the message "This assignment is closed." Click here to learn more.

NOTE - GetThru does not send messages after a campaign is closed. After a campaign is closed, messages cannot be sent through the Messenger. Messages sent through the Admin console after a campaign is closed will not be delivered.
